How You Can Help

Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL) is a mission-driven news organization providing trusted, independent journalism in 23 countries where a free press is restricted or under threat. With the sudden loss of U.S. government–funded research contracts, the organization must now reestablish its own research and analytics capabilities from the ground up.

RFE/RL’s ability to deliver data-driven insights depends on how well they can manage and use their information. With the suspension of prior contracts and tools, the Audience & Growth team must now establish its own data systems, from storage and governance to reporting and dashboards.

Volunteers with expertise in data management can play a crucial role by advising on best practices for data governance, building a data warehouse, managing survey datasets, and developing performance dashboards. This opportunity is perfect for insights professionals who understand how to structure and systematize data for long-term use. By contributing your skills, you’ll help RFE/RL build a reliable research backbone to support their mission in some of the world’s most information-challenged regions.
