One of the Foundation’s earliest and most enduring initiatives, the Researchers in Need program, was created to support research professionals and their families in times of crisis. This initiative has provided financial relief to families who have suffered due to war, natural disasters, or personal misfortune. Notable cases include providing assistance to a researcher’s family in India after the sudden loss of their loved one, supporting Lebanese researchers affected by economic hardship, and researchers affected by the troubles in Myanmar.
